Future Park: Golden Eagle Regional Park 22 - Golden Eagle Regional Park

 

The construction of Golden Eagle Regional Park was completed in 2008. It is the largest public works project in the history of the City of Sparks! The state-of-the-art facility is situated on approximately 140 acres east of Wingfield Springs, south of Vista Boulevard. The complex features 1.4 million square feet of artificial turf -- the largest single installation artificial turf project in North America. The park is designed to accommodate the diverse needs of sports enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels and will meet the increasing demand for sports fields for years to come.  Photo courtesy of Matt Turley.

6400 Vista Blvd.
Directions:
I-80 east to the Vista Blvd. exit, head north on Vista Blvd. to Wingfield Springs (approximately 8 miles). The park is located one-half mile past the entrance to Wingfield Springs. Entrance to the park is on the right hand side just prior to Fire Station #5.

    Pro Shop Now Open!
    Stop by the Pro Shop operated by dssbats, featuring softball/baseball equipment, emergency items for football/soccer (mouth pieces, shin guards), and bocce ball/volleyball rentals.
    Facility Rentals
    Sports Complex facilities are available for sanctioned youth and adult tournaments, for private tournaments, and company picnics/barbeque and softball games. You can rent the fields or we can customize your day and coordinate umpires, tournament brackets, trophies and even cater the food and drinks.     The following items/activities are not permitted in the park: No sunflower seeds and nuts with shells, glass, alcohol, gum, animals, metal cleats, barbeques, skateboards/bicycles/rollerblades, ice chests, and no hitting golf balls. Violators will be removed from the facility.  Thank you for your cooperation.
